“When is enough, enough?”

Over the past 120 days, I’ve conducted over 75 interviews with highly successful entrepreneurs, asking them questions about their success, what’s driving them, and the unique challenges they’re facing. 

Some of those individuals have net worths in the billions and others have sold companies for hundreds of millions of dollars.

And every single one of them, without fail, has expressed how at every financial/success milestone throughout their journey, it never brought the level of peace, freedom, or satisfaction they thought it would.

Sure, it might enable them to buy cooler toys, bigger homes or take more elaborate trips; but ultimately, more wealth or success hasn’t made their lives easier, it’s made them more complex.

A couple weeks ago I spoke to an individual whose success had landed his company in the top .005% in his industry nationwide.

He said, “Money seemed like it would solve more problems than it has and that it would reduce headaches, but it’s actually brought new ones. I’ve learned that money magnifies your problems; it will magnify whatever is driving you at your core.”

Enough will never be “enough”
if what you’re chasing… is “enough.”

You’re asking the WRONG question.

That question is entirely focused on YOU.

“Why keep growing if I already have more than I need?”

This business isn’t about you.

God didn’t entrust you with this business to primarily serve you; it’s meant to primarily be used to serve Him and serve others.

The continued growth and success of the business isn’t about providing for your needs, it’s about making an impact in the lives/souls of people you encounter for God’s glory.

The RIGHT question is:

“Lord, how do you want me to steward what you have given me?”

I’m not telling you that you have to grow your business to the next level; but I am saying, check your motivation for growth. Get yourself out of the center.

5 REASONS TO CONSIDER GROWING TO THE NEXT LEVEL:

• Growth attracts & keeps talent (which allows you to impact more lives).
• Growth allows you to innovate.
• Growth provides the opportunity for greater financial generosity.
• Growth provides a platform of influence to share your faith with others in business.
• Growth requires YOUR growth and greater dependence on God.

HOWEVER…

If the idea of more growth stresses you out because you already feel maxed out with what’s on your plate today, I get it.

You might be asking the question “when is enough, enough?” because deep down, you’re exhausted and the idea of MORE growth sounds like more headaches, more fires, more stress.
